Meet The Architerra Team

	Ron Lester, President: Celebrating 30 years in the landscape contracting business in 2012, he fervently promotes respect for our employees, respect for our customers, working safely and equipment care. Ron was born and raised in Lake County, Illinois. He is an active Long Grove Rotary Member, Boy Scouts of America Leader and St. Mary’s of Vernon Hills Landscape Committee Member.
	Tracey Lester, Vice President: Tracey, a 20-year industry veteran, manages the company’s sales, customer service, maintenance operations and human resources. Her top priorities also include ongoing staff training to ensure all employees provide best-in-class professional services and customer relations. Tracey’s primary goal is to inspire content, skilled employees who deliver top-notch services to your satisfaction and delight. In addition to managing Architerra daily operations, Tracey is a fitness enthusiast, (and sometime gym rat) who also performs Improv comedy in her free time. She is also actively engaged in Vernon Hills Districts 128 and 73 where her two sons attend school.
	Brandy Mantione:Brandy has been with Architerra for three years and has been in the Landscape industry for the last eight. She lives in Libertyville with her husband of ten years, who works as an airline pilot. Together they enjoy working in their yard, bird watching, and spending winters in Arizona. In the past Brandy has worked with the Illinois Master Gardeners where she learned the answers to the most frequently asked questions by home gardeners. Brandy provides Architerra and many our clients with breathtaking annual container displays and enjoys handpicking the plants and trees used in our client’s yards. In her spare time Brandy enjoys doing Yoga, working in her vegetable garden and performing stand up and improve comedy. She loves to talk about the landscape so if ever you see her in your yard or want to call her at the office, feel free to do so. Brandy has an excellent reputation with our clients, they appreciate her attention to detail and her ability to understand their individual needs.

Summer 2012: Troop 95 Eagle Scout Project

Architerra was my main contributor in my Eagle Scout Service Project. In my project, I designed and executed a plan to install new plants at the Brookfield Center for Senior Living in Vernon Hills. Mr. Lester enthusiastically helped me with picking the right kinds of plants to put, and also gave me the idea of putting in boulders in addition to the plants as a new element. He provided me with three sample plants that he gave me as an example. In addition, Architerra donated all the mulch and compost I needed while also providing the wheelbarrows and the transportation needed to deliver the mulch and compost to the site. Mr. Lester also willingly helped me figure out how to install the mulch, plants, and compost. He provided me with a source of expertise in gardening and landscaping, and his help and advice were great factors in the completion of my Eagle Project. I am very grateful to Mr. Lester and Architerra for their immense amount of help in my project.

ARCHITERRA CREATES AN ESTATE RETREAT FOR THE INFANT WELFARE SOCIETY

As a reminder of an era long past – the Coach House is a welcome retreat from the main estate. Upon arrival the Gazebo Garden accents the architecture of the building and provides a peaceful setting out of the hot summer sun. Stately urns filled with annual color and foliage and set among a bed of jovial spring violas flank the entrance of this garden. Clipped boxwood crescents soften the linear lines of the walk, hedge and entry drive.

The formal hedgerow of burning bush provides an allé that leads the visitor to the gazebo itself. The focal urn at the back of the gazebo draws the eye with its colorful plantings of springtime annuals.

The garden includes many of the existing plantings that have remained as part of the estate and coach house. The soft curves and spring colors welcome all who seek a refuge for relaxation.
